Inside The Northroom

This is a demo project. The business is made up, to show how I work.

The brief.

The Northroom is a two-chair barber with a loyal crowd of regulars and a waiting list most Saturdays. New customers kept ringing to book, which meant stopping mid-cut to answer the phone.

They wanted a site that feels like walking into the shop, and a way for new people to book a chair without ringing at all.

What I did.

  1. Book a chair from any page

A clear booking button on every page goes straight to their booking system, so the phone stays quiet during appointments.

  2. Every price on one short list

Cuts, fades and beard trims on a single list with real prices. No “from” prices and no surprises at the till.

  3. A bit of swagger in the type

Editorial serif headings with lots of space, to match the dark wood and brass of the shop itself.
